I am officially two months away from training camp! I’m also four months out from launch. It’s crazy how time is flying by when it feels like just yesterday I applied, had my interview, and got accepted to go on the race. One crazy thing that I remember for the day I found out I was accepted to the race is running down the stairs to make sure I could catch my mom and let her know before she left to go back to work and just crying from excitement that I got to leave home and do one of the things that makes me the happiest for almost a year of my life and that is spreading the love and joy of Jesus to others who may not know who he is. As I prepare within these next two months I really am asking for prayers for a safe journey to Atlanta and home and that I am able to connect with my squad. Another thing I am asking for prayers for is financial that I am able to reach my goal amount of $19,200. Things I am doing for fundraising is, I was on a local TV show called “The Positive Side” that will be airing Friday June 14th, I have an adopt a box fundraiser where you pick a number and what ever number you pick you donate that dollar amount (ie box 1 would be $1 or boxes 10 through 14 would be $60) [leave a comment to see what boxes are left if you are interested in adopting a box], and I am selling t-shirts with all 11 countries listed on the back along with my blog (https://www.bonfire.com/erikas-world-race ).
