As soon as we arrived to our new ministry, Zona Zegura an orphanage, we were welcomed with many hugs, smiles, and cheers of joy from the children at the orphanage. Within only 24 hours they were cuddling in our laps as we watched a soccer game telling me that they love me and were going to be my friend forever. We came here to help serve the ministry and love on these kids and I feel like they already beat us to it! -hence the title
Tan pronto como llegamos a nuestro nuevo ministerio, Zona Zegura, un orfanato, fuimos recibidos con muchos abrazos, sonrisas y vítores de alegría por parte de los niños en el orfanato. En solo 24 horas, estaban abrazados en nuestras vueltas mientras veíamos un partido de fútbol que me decía que me amaban y que serían mis amigos para siempre. ¡Vinimos aquí para ayudar a servir al ministerio y amar a estos niños y siento que ya nos han vencido!
We are basically staying in the valley of many mountains with the most perfect view of glaciers in our wide open plot of land. There are a few buildings for volunteers like us, the boys, the girls, and one family. There’s also 2 pigs, a few cats, and lots of dogs which helps make it feel like a home when the dogs and kids are running around in the field.
Básicamente nos quedamos en el valle de muchas montañas con la vista más perfecta de los glaciares en nuestro tierra abierto. Hay algunos edificios para voluntarios como nosotros, los niños, las niñas y una familia. También hay 2 cerdos, algunos gatos y muchos perros que ayudan a que se sienta como en casa cuando los perros y los niños corren por el campo.
Our daily work includes cooking, playing with the kids and cleaning inside and outside. It’s so encouraging to see the people here serving with such joyful hearts. Rolans, Frine, Gladis, Jeremias and Rina all love on the kids so much all day every day.
Nuestro trabajo diario incluye cocinando, jugando con los niños y limpiando dentro y fuera. Es muy alentador ver a las personas aquí sirviendo con corazones tan alegres. Rolans, Frine, Gladis, Jeremias y Rina aman a los niños todo el día todos los días.
There is one downside of living here though. There are these nasty tiny bugs that eat you alive quicker than mosquitoes. Other than that we are doing well taking a break from the city life. With that being said, it’s very tricky to find internet here which is why I haven’t posted many blogs yet.
Sin embargo, hay una desventaja de vivir aquí. Hay estos pequeños bichos desagradables que te comen vivo más rápido que los misquitos. Aparte de eso, nos está yendo bien tomando un descanso de la vida de la ciudad. Porque de eso, es muy complicado encontrar Internet aquí, razón por la cual aún no he publicado muchos blogs.
