Our time here was short, it felt like the shortest visit we’ve had in one country yet. It was an interesting few weeks being in a closed country teaching English a few hours each day. I honestly didn’t feel like I had many deep or fruitful conversations with the friends I made, but I know God works through me even when I think He’s not.
For me our time here was a perfect time for me to rest a bit, dig in deeper to some things such as having confidence in God’s desire to heal, faith that He will heal and redeem, and having hope in times where it seems impossible to have any.
Nuestro tiempo aquí fue corto, parecía la visita más corta que hemos tenido en un país. Fueron algunas semanas interesantes en un país cerrado enseñando inglés unas pocas horas al día. Honestamente, no sentí que tuve muchas conversaciones profundas o fructíferas con los amigos que hice, pero sé que Dios funciona a través de mí incluso cuando creo que no lo es.
Para mí, nuestro tiempo aquí fue el momento perfecto para descansar un poco, ahondar más en algunas cosas como tener confianza en el deseo de Dios de sanar, fe en que Él sanará y redimir, y tener esperanza en momentos donde parece imposible tener alguno.
The last few days my whole squad got the opportunity to gather with a few other squads that were crossing paths with us in Cambodia. It was a great time to hear about all the things God has been doing in other countries that these other groups had gone to and I loved worshipping with 150 or so of my brothers and sisters.
It’s hard to believe my journey sharing God with others around the world is about halfway through. I’ll admit some days it’s hard to have the excitement to go out, but we’re learning how to reignite that excitement often and fill our hearts so that they’re overflowing with God’s love and grace.
Los últimos días mi escuadrón completo tuvo la oportunidad de reunirse con algunos otros escuadrones que se cruzaban con nosotros en Camboya. Fue un gran momento para escuchar acerca de todas las cosas que Dios ha estado haciendo en otros países a los que estos otros grupos habían asistido y me encantaba adorar con 150 o más de mis hermanos y hermanas.
Es difícil creer que mi viaje compartiendo a Dios con otros en todo el mundo está a la mitad. Debo admitir que algunos días es difícil tener la emoción de salir, pero estamos aprendiendo cómo volver a encender esa emoción a menudo y llenar nuestros corazones para que desborden con el amor y la gracia de Dios.
