This is my team! We are the boulders.

Incredibly beautiful, funny, loving, and deep, these women light up my life each and every day of the Race (we’re on day 163 of the Race by the way, only 102 left!).

On our first day of training camp back in July, I arrived at the AIM base in Gainesville, Georgia running on three hours of sleep and ready for hell (training camp was rough). After checking in I got handed a tiny slip of paper with seven names including my own– my team! At the time, I was like “okay who even are these people, I have bigger things to worry about,” but now I thank God everyday for placing me on a team as hype as this one.

For almost the entire first half of the Race I struggled with things that everyone on the Race struggles with: missing home, making new friends, learning how to rely on the Lord, showing up at ministry ready for one thing only to learn that what you’re actually doing is completely different, etc. So all the usual things. I also had a hard time feeling like I “fit” in with my team, but slowly over the months the Lord showed me this is where he wanted me and that each of my teammates are some of the greatest gifts he’s ever given me in my life.

On our first weekend back in Mae Ai we were all feeling bummed about being back so we decided to do a photo shoot at sunset in the rice fields behind our house!

Like I said earlier, they are truly some of the greatest gifts God has given me. They show me different faces of Jesus each day in each of their strengths, and I am beyond blessed to call them my team, friends, and sisters.

We are the Boulders, seeking to become more and more bold for Christ each and every day, whether its’ teaching English in the rice fields of Thailand, playing games with children in the slums of Myanmar, eating homemade tortillas with our host in Guatemala, or just spending time with each other in whatever housing condition we’re currently living in.

Thank you Jesus for my family.
