G – o. Two letters that make one little word that means so much.

It's funny, two thirds of the very name 'God' is this verb; this command to proceed.

I had the rich blessing of spending time in Israel in December of 2012. While there, the Lord totally reminded me of His call over my life to truly live out the appeal of Matthew 28 where Jesus says, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Something the Lord showed me a few years ago (I think I was 17 and looking at colleges) was that pretty much every season in life can be grouped into one of two categories: Seasons of Preparations and Seasons of Fulfillment. The Lord revealed to me that, what He calls us to, He prepares us for. Always. Even though preparation seasons can be the more tedious of the two, rushing through those seasons cause the preparation to be incomplete and the fulfillment to be lackluster, to say the least.

These past few years of college have been a major prepation season for me. I wasn't anticipating being in a season of fulfilling that would stretch me so much and so soon. Nor could I image the magnitude. ('Go'-ing for almost a year?! To ELEVEN countries?! While sleeping in a tent?! And carrying everything in a backpack…!?!?)

But I am so excited to be Going. Knowing full well that as I go, He's already prepared the way for me, and is really just bidding me to Come to Him.

From my heart,
