There is a tangible tension to uncertainty. The uncertain future of this nation, Ukraine, tugs uncomfortably at hearts. It furrows brows of even middle school students. It causes held-back tears in the eyes of stern teachers. It clouds the faces of those we encounter walking daily on the streets.

Heavy.

What lies ahead? In the midst of uncertainty, the tension of the unknown, the Spirit of God whispers, “peace…” “hope…”

“I am the Prince of Peace. You, my children, hold Christ in your hearts. He in the hope of glory you have been commissioned to share.“

Peace. Hope.

My catchphrase as of late is “He is my strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. “

Amid the uncertainty there is hope for Ukraine. And not just hope, but bright hope.

our very present help in time of trouble.

Therefore we will not fear,

though the earth gives way…”
