Wow! Here I am again with a new squad, new leadership team and coaches, about to embark on a great adventure!
Tomorrow we launch to Spain!
It’s so strange to think that a year and a half ago I was the one sitting in these chairs. I get reminded everyday about where I was as I see the eyes of these racers. I remember being so nervous, excited, overwhelmed by information, and in awe of this crazy journey the Father had ahead of me. It’s still funny to think that even with all those emotions, I still had no idea how crazy, scary, vulnerable, wild, and life changing this journey would be.
As a leader for this squad, that gets me excited beyond words for these racers. I want to see them go do things that squads have never done. I want to see them go and reach people who have never been told about the Kingdom. I want my ceiling and all my experiences to be their floor, that they could go do things that I never even dreamed of accomplishing.
I’m excited for all the adventures they’ll have, the once in a lifetime experiences, the bizzare foods, exhausting travel experiences, the intimate connection of communicating with someone who speaks a different language, the days when everything was beyond what they could ask or imagine, the days where they feel like crawling into a hole and never coming out, and finally, the day I’m most excited for… The day they finally come to the end of themselves, the day that none of these things are fulfilling anymore, the day that they realize why they left in the first place.
I’m still trying to put to words what this place looks like, and ironically, this “place” is right where things began. The best way I can describe this security is found in Pslam 17:15
“Because I have lived right, I will see your face. When I wake up, I will see your likeness and be satisfied.”
I love the way that the NCV states it. “I will see your likeness and be satisfied.” Though I wouldnt trade away any of the crazy experiences I’ve had this past year and a half, the cultures, the miracles, the relationships, for any wordly thing. At the end of the day none of these things truly satisfy. There’s something that awakens in you when you’ve seen all these things. You realize that there’s still only one thing that truly Satisfies.
It’s Him.
It’s so funny how He always brings us back to the beginning, and each time we seem to learn something new. Something again awaked in my soul this last year and a half, and it has only been Satisfied when I’ve seen His Likeness. And that’s my prayer for M Squad. That their souls would be awakened, and every single day they would be Satisfied because they see His Likeness in each other, in everyone they encounter, and in everything they get to do.
It’s an honor to get to serve them for the next 6 months, and it’s an understatement to say that I’m so excited to see what God awakens in them.

First and most importantly, I need more prayer warriors! There have been countless times this year and a half where I could feel the community praying for us interceding on our behalf. The Lord has opened doors that could have never been possible without your prayers and also those prayers have protected us in some dangerous situations. Lastly, I have been without income for over a year and a half. Most of our expenses are paid while we are out, but there are times when we have to use our own finances and buy our own flights to travel back and forth from trainings to our homes.
