This race is half run and it has gone by so fast. GOD has
blown my mind these first five months. GOD has shown his love, power and
plan in “small” ways like being able to help with the 1st birthday of our
pastor in the Dominican Republic, singing Creole songs with orphans in
Haiti, playing with kids who are full of joy in the slums
of Cambodia, meeting lifelong friends in Vietnam, eating freshly
baked chocolate chip cookie at the SHE bakery in Thailand and staying somewhere
where you flush toilet paper down the toilet in South Africa (that is a big deal believe
me a lot of countries outside the US the septic systems are not that strong so
you throw the toilet paper in a trash can)
Our team has been apart of the “big” miracles
this year. Thanks for using us to pray
prayers that instantly change situations, heal people, cast out demons,
prophesy and speak life and truth into Christians who live in a closed
country and have to meet in secret to praise and worship you, for witnessing a woman’s life be transformed,
in two months she went from working in the “bar” to working in a Bakery and
accepting Jesus Christ as her personal saviour.
Surrender and Submission are two words that have a negative
connotation in our society.

authority or control of another. Submitting is defined as to yield oneself to the authority or will of another.
good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his
soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
As our squad of 52 people arrived in Africa
less than a week ago GOD revealed through dreams, prayers, Bible verses
and words from the spirit there is a storm on the horizon. We are not afraid
and are preparing ourselves with the armour of GOD which is the breastplate of
righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness that comes with the Gospel of
Peace, helmet of salvation, shield of faith that with which extinguish the
flaming arrows of the evil one, and the sword of the spirit which is the word
of GOD (Ephesians 6: 14-17).
During this period GOD has revealed to me in order to be
victorious over the storm I have to surrender my whole life to Jesus.
I have to SURRENDER every part of my life to HIM and SUBMIT MY LIFE 100% TO
YOUR WILL.

Jeremiah 29:11 states, For I know the plans I have for you
says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a
future and a hope.
GOD I SURRENDER MY FINANCES AND SUBMIT TO YOUR FINANCES
This money is your
money and you have let me have some of it. 10% tithe used to seem a lot but 90%
is so much more. Due to your provision THROUGH friends, family, my mom, St.
Matthew AME Church of Philadelphia, and strangers over $13,800 has been raise so that I can be
blessed enough to go on this trip. This is a miraculous story which I will
write a blog about later.
Matthew 6:24 states No one can serve two masters. You cannot
serve both GOD and money.
I submit my dependency on money to You GOD and decide to serve
you and not money. You have always made a way even when I did not know how I
was going to get out of over $16,000 of debt and you provided money from more
than a paycheck or family.
GOD I SURRENDER MY PLAN TO BE MARRIED ALREADY AND SUBMIT TO
YOUR PERFECT TIMED PLAN FOR ME AND MY HUSBAND
This was a hard one for me… I am 28 and always thought I
would be married by now.
GOD thank you for the peace that comes with your
perfect timing. Thank you for not letting past relationships work out even when
I really wanted them to. I was not ready to be married and you are still
preparing me for marriage and I thank you for this preparation period.
GOD I know you are working in me and my future husband’s life
and drawing him and I closer to you before we meet each other. You are the
foundation of his life and he is living his life as your servant. GOD make me
into the wife of Proverbs 31.
Thank you for changing my view on submission to
my husband, before this trip I was not willing to become the wife in Ephesians 5:22
and 25 (Wives submit to your husbands as to the Lord. Now as the church
submits to CHRIST, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything)
. Through interaction and meeting different CHRISTian
couples this year I realized submission is not the issue, if your husband is
submitting his life 100% to GOD and truly walking with GOD than submission to
him is easy and makes my yoke lighter. The key is listening to GOD and let GOD choose your husband and he will be the husband embodied
Ephesians 5:25 (Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and
gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the
washing with water through the word)
GOD I SURRENDER MY TIME AND SUBMIT TO YOUR TIME
GOD you are calling us to dedicate our lives to you, which
means going to Church on Sunday, contributing to Bible Study an d having
personal time with YOU. You are also calling me to pray for the
coworker/missionary I do not like or do not see eye to eye with, pray a
blessing over the person who stole my squad mates passport, wallet and computer.
You are calling
us to be in the world but not of the world. I am not perfect
and will stumble and have bad days but you are calling me to strive to be more
Christlike everyday. Every moment of everyday is a blessing from you to me and
I thank you.
GOD I SURRENDER MY SELFISHNESS AND SUBMIT TO YOUR
SELFLESSNESS
God make me more selfless. This year we have met Raul and
Zanza who were a wonderful wife and pastor who we had the honor of
serving with in the Dominican
Republic. They cooked for us, unclogged the
toilet we stopped up with their hands and allowed 8 of us to sleep in
their home and use all their water more than once which meant they could
not shower or wash clothes for them or their two children under the age of 5
until more water was delivered. They were selfless and poured into us and
encouraged each of our spiritual gifts, they prophesied over us and we felt
like their kids for the month. We met missionaries in Vietnam who
poured into us in amazing ways. GOD bless me to be more like these people. I
know it won’t happen overnight but give me the desire to be selfless.
