As I started unpacking my backpack in the Dominican Republic , I realized how many things I forgot to pack.. i.e clothes line and clothes pins so I can hang up my clothes once I handwash them, a skirt because it is hot in the Dominican Republic, flash drive, purse, etc. At first I was a little upset about this but than I realized I am on this missionary trip to abandon the comforts from home.. GOD will and already has provided for me on this trip… My teammate Renee let me use her pins to hang up my hand washed clothes and that was a sight to see me hand washing.
I REALIZED WHO AM I TO COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT HAVING MATERIAL THINGS !!! Almost everyday my team passes people who have little or nothing…. we pass street kids and homeless people and I am worried about a purse and I thank GOD for showing me my selfishness.

GOD thank you for allowing me to leave the comforts of home and seek you wholeheartedly this year. Thank you for a mother and friends and family who have been super supportive and who are praying for me and emailing and posting words of encouragement on my blog.
