as most of you know that Vietnam is a closed country..so talking about the Big man upstairs wasnt really allowed or a good idea unless we wanted to spend a night in jail lol which i think would have been a great photo oppurtunity lol jk

i wanted to give a little recap of the month-i hate to pack all that goodness in one blog..but if i was a good blogger i would have written blogs in my journal when they happened and just re-written them..but i didnt :/ sorry!

so Vietnam..lets see…our team & team salt shakers were working together this month..which i was super excited about because two my previous teammates are on that team along with some other AMAZING people..getting to Vietnam we didnt know what to expect at all..our ministry description was anything but a description but it was good because we went in with no expectations..which is ALWAYS GOOD on the world race 🙂

once we met our contacts we were excited for what the month had in store..we ALOT of different ministries.. we visited an orphanage, visited with college students during theology class, we would have tea talk every tuesday & friday, we would do prayer walks in Ho Chi Minh city, we visited a home for the Blind, we visited men who had been freed from drug addictions and then our personal ministry…

TK's contact Heather which is an alumni racer told us..find a ministry that makes you cry to leave..that put my whole month in perspective! that was my goal-and with the Lord's direction thats what i did..i found a ministry that pulled on my heart strings and hurt to say goodbye..but knowing in my heart that i had left a piece of HIS love there and i had made a difference even if it was for a short amount of time..

i made relationships with young adults who would take us to eat true vietnamese food on their motobikes and buy us gifts because we were their american best friends 🙂 there were so many small blessings during Vietnam..memories that were made that will never be forgotten..people who will always have an imprint on my heart!

i will always have a heart for vietnam & the people there! i will always remember month 6 as one of the best months of the race! i will always look back and say "i had some GREAT times there, i miss that place!"

Vietnam thank you for allowing me to share my heart with you&&allowing me to see all you had to offer..I'm truly blessed to say i was apart of that country for a short but lasting amount of time! <3
