you know the first day of school feeling?? when your nervous, excited, and extremely tired because you stayed up all night thinking about it?? well that's how the last 48 hours have been for me!
i have been talking about the world race FOR MONTHS and now its FINALLY HERE!!!
i met up with my new family in LAX last night and we all journeyed together to GUATEMALA!!!
the flight to guatemala..was AWFUL..but we made it safely so i wont complain! as soon as we got our luggage and went through customs we pack all of our stuff, our stankness, our sleepiness, and everything else we had with us in 3 vans and traveled to Antigua!
we were greeted by our WONDERFUL squad leaders, team leaders, finance, and logistics people and was welcomed into our fabulous home for the next three days!! 🙂
once we got settled in to our hostel we had breakfast and started to venture out into the town..
the people of Antigua, Guatemala are so PRECIOUS!!!! those sweet babies selling all kinds of goodies i just wanted to buy everything lol..but i cant because i my pack is heavy enough haha
we are on a budget as a team for food so after sightseeing a bit we found some lunch and did some major grubbing lol it was like Christmas!! && we had fried chicken btw 🙂
later tonight we had an amazing worship and prayer time with the whole squad and Mike && Stacey!! it was such good fellowship and even though i was super tired the desire for daddy's love is so real and tangible that your constantly wanting more and more!
it is now 12:08 here and we have to get up at 8:00 but on the world race you lose your sense of time, food portions, and manners haha and it has only been the FIRST DAY!!
this is an amazing adventure ALREADY and im so blessed that i get to be apart of it!
i miss everyone back home!! so much!!! it hasnt really hit me that im going to be gone a YEAR! but if everyday is like today then it will go by so fast and it will BE SO WORTH IT!!
