Dear Family and Friends,
Let me start off by saying Thank You, if nothing else I want you to know that I appreciate you! In Acts 7:2 it says, the glory God appeared before Abraham and told him, “Leave your country and family and go to the land I’ll show you”. And just like Abraham, I am stepping out in faith. I wanted to write you and let you see how God is changing my life and how you can help me share HIS gospel all over the world.
A month ago I saw an advertisement for The World Race at school, I knew right then and there that that was something I was supposed to do. The World Race is an 11-month mission trip that travels to 11 different countries. I just assumed it would be after I graduated college, but God had other plans. I could not get it off my heart so i took the first step, i applied. I was accepted for the October 2011 race which travels to the following 11 countries: Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Asia, Malaysia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Malawi. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self-discovery, I as a World Racer will develop a broken heart that propels my hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I am so thankful that I have been to chosen by not only The World Race but by God to preach his gospel to the foreign nations. As I chase after his destiny for my life there are many needs that have to be met and many sacrifices that have to be made. I’m trusting that HE will provide my every need including financial support. I must raise $15,000 to go on The World Race, which covers all my expenses for 11 months. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation. If I can get 25 people to pledge $50 a month for 12 months, my trip would be set finically.
