I have recently become obsessed with Kim Walker’s music. A friend introduced me to her back in 2008 but I just couldn’t get into it. Now I can’t get enough of the way she worships, her lyrics and her passion- it is just awesome. Spontaneous songs I and IV on the Here is my song album are my favorites right now… “I am my Beloved’s and He is mine…” how can you not love hearing that over and over again??
I have just been finding so many things lately that make me happy and fill me with life and joy and I just want to share them with people. So here you go. I hope some make you laugh, others make you cry and that all of them will challenge You. Click on the following links to read some incredible blogs

Some scripture that I've been looking at a lot lately is Matthew 10:7-8 (NIV). They are the instructions Jesus gave to His 12 disciples when He sent them out, it says: "As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give."
I’ve been listening to Kim Walker while writing this (shocking, I know) but lyrics from other songs keep popping in my head so I’ll share them with you too.
This is your life and today is all you've got now and today is all you'll ever have
Don't close your eyes, don't close your eyes
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be?
-This is your life, Switchfoot
If I’m not listening to Kim Walker, I am probably listening to this next song:
There's a girl in the corner with tear stains on her eyes
From the places she's wandered and the shame she can't hide
She says, "How did I get here? I'm not who I once was.
And I'm crippled by the fear that I've fallen too far to love"
But don't you know who you are, what's been done for you?
Yeah don't you know who you are?
You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.
Well she tries to believe it that she's been given new life
But she can't shake the feeling that it's not true tonight
She knows all the answers and she's rehearsed all the lines
And so she'll try to do better but then she's too weak to try
But don't you know who you are?
You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.
'Cause this is not about what you've done, but what's been done for you.
This is not about where you've been, but where your brokenness brings you to
This is not about what you feel, but what He felt to forgive you,
And what He felt to make you loved.
You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.
You've been remade.
-You are more, Tenth avenue north.
This month has been incredible so far. The people, the cultures, the food, my time with God and with my team- I’ve just been loving it all.
