Well it's month 11 and my month in the boonies is well underway. After 10 months of not really living in tough spots, this month was an answer to our prayers. We really wanted to get a feel for what it would be like to live the most minimalistic for a month and we are definitely getting it.

This month we are really living like the Kenyans.
We live in a house made out of cow dung.
We have no running water and all of our water is gathered from a river or the nightly rains.
Squatty potty time this month again in the back past a corn field.
No electricity and each night is lit by 5 or 6 lanterns.
The internet cafe we go to is an hour away.
We walk 3 miles to our church sometimes more than just Sunday.

On the bright side, I do get my own bed this month, which is definitely a luxury even if it's a little hard.

For ministry, we have been doing lots of random things:
Door to door
Fertilizing corn crops
Making a rock path to our house to keep from all the mud everywhere
Gathering water for our house
School visits – counseling, sports ministry, and Bible study
Speaking at churches

It's been a great last month to end this journey!
Just wanted to give everyone an update about the life here in Kenya this month.

See you soon!
