Welcome to my blog for the World Race! 🙂
My name is Erica Denton, I am 21 years old, and I am in love with my God. So much that I have found myself about to embark on this incredible journey in July, which involves taking up my cross and following Him with everything that I have in my being. I am so excited about the World Race and for what God is doing through this ministry and am humbled at the fact that God has called me to just go. And when I leave for the World Race, the countries I will be traveling to are:
Bulgaria

Rwanda
Uganda
Kenya
Thailand
Cambodia
Malaysia
Nicaragua
Honduras
Guatemala
What's so fun and awesome about this lineup is that I will be in Kenya during Thanksgiving and Guatemala will be the end to my trip, pending nothing changes with the route. The reason why this is awesome is the fact that these countries are what I call my "mission foundation." I first traveled to Kenya back in August of 2010 with my church, Port City Community, only to find myself 7 months later traveling to Guatemala with the college ministry at Port City. God did awesome things in me through both of those missions and my heart for people all over the world ignited with a flame that still burns to this day.
For a little bit about me: I am currently a senior at UNCW in Wilmington, NC. I graduate in May with a degree in English literature and a Spanish minor. Some of my favorite things to do are Latin dancing, drink coffee, eat tacos at Islands, meet with people, ride my bike, read books, singing, and just live my life to the fullest extent possible.
My walk with the Lord has increased so much in the past few years and I am so honored to be called a daughter to the King on the throne of the most High.
My hopes for this 11 month, 11 country mission are to be radically changed, to be refined, and to know God more than I have ever known God before. He is going to do some crazy things in me and my teammates and I'm so excited to see the difference between who I am now as a person who loves Jesus and who I am 16 months from now when I return to American soil.
