My Loved Ones!
I hope this letter finds you well, stirs your heart and makes you get up and dance! My heart is constantly being called to adventure. Whether its enjoying my beautiful back yard in Colorado, setting my imagination free with twenty 3 year-old children in my preschool classroom and breaking out in random dance parties, or simply sitting and daydreaming about how big God’s love really is. Life is so good, and for that my heart is filled with gratitude. So in the midst of an overwhelmed, grateful heart I started to feel comfortable. EEEEK! I started asking God how I could take more risks, and how I could be broken in all the right ways to fully rely on His love in serving Him. Which usually turns out to be a risky prayer, because He WILL show up, and eventually you will have to make the choice and trust in the calling He has for your life. I prayed and prayed and prayed. And He showed up. In HUGE ways, and is calling me to live out an adventure of a lifetime… An adventure that will be uncomfortable in the greatest of ways. Here we go guys…
I will serve as a missionary through an organization; Adventure in Missions (AIM), in their World Race program! The World Race is an 11- month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world!! On the World Race, my team and I will serve and partner with churches and ministries in local communities to share the Good News! We will also help plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring restoration, hope, and freedom to their hearts by lighting that fire and giving them a glimpse of God’s love for them.
I am so grateful, excited, and expectant of this incredible opportunity God has given me, and the calling He has placed on my heart. I know He will provide for all my needs! That’s where you all come in, the hand-picked incredible people that fill my life. My hope is you will join me in this journey of heart, mind, and soul as we travel the globe together in spirit. We will walk with Jesus to serve the poor and destitute. To learn, to trust, to love, to serve, to discover more about ourselves, more about God and the fierce intentionality He has for our lives. I want you to walk alongside me in this. To make the choice and be an active participant in this adventure.
You can join me in this journey through prayer, and yes if there is someway, somehow, even a little bit you can support this ministry financially, I ask you to boldly take a leap of faith and join me. I understand that you also will be making a sacrifice in some way and for that, I thank you for trusting. I encourage you to follow me on my blog, where you can find weekly updates. I will do my best to paint a picture of how God is using our team and how your support is blessing our team and you in endless ways.
This letter is inviting you to share with me in this ministry. I must raise $15,500 in order to participate in The World Race. This amount covers all my expenses while on the field, to include: travel, living and food. However, there are extra costs that are not included in this amount, such as, medical insurance, training camp, and supplies. Your financial support can be given as a one-time donation or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. If 70 people pledge $20 a month for 11 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip. I am beyond excited to gain a better understanding and real glimpse of how BIG God’s love for us truly is, as well as how He will move in my life and the lives of others in the upcoming year through our mission in The World Race. Here is a brief outline of the donation goals for the World Race:
– $3,500 – Due 9/24/2013 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
– $6,500 – Due 12/18/2013 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
– $11,000 – Due 4/1/2014 (End of 3 months on the field)
– $15,500 – Total Due 7/1/2014 (End of 6 months on the field)
