There is so much beauty in the opportunity to observe a child’s sprit. Their world is so pure, joyful and simple. It is simple because they are safe, and they know they are taken care of. Children go on with their days completely present in the moment they are living in, dreaming, yet excited and grateful for right now. Their hearts are learning to love others. Their eyes are beginning to appreciate the simple beauties the world has to offer, in admiring His creation all around us. Their feet are running free, exploring more everyday. Their spirit’s are Joyful and curious, waiting for the good that is just around the corner. Even if sometimes that is just a glimpse of “Mr. Sun” after a long rainy day, but they are expectant that he will come out to play.

I think this is exactly what it looks like to have faith like a child. This is how God wants us to live out our lives. To have joyful hearts, living in His constant presence, enjoying what He is doing in our lives now, and not worrying about the rest. Trusting, believing, that He is working in the finest details of our lives to make something Beautiful out of you and I. Living in the truth that He is our Daddy, we are safe, and we know we are taken care of.

Sitting at circle time with 20 sets of curious eyes, waiting to hear what we will learn about, as I sit there trying to hold back the tears of an overwhelmed heart… when a precious small voice says, “ Look Ms. Erica Mr. Sun came out for you, maybe we should just sing Mr. Sun today.” I know God was speaking through that child, telling me in the sweetest way to rest my heart, let the sunshine fill my spirit and trust that He already has it taken care of.

Thankful for the reminder I am able to live in everyday to have faith like a child. Thankful for the beautiful souls that fill my life, for the set of 25 voices, hands, and feet that are a constant reminder of His incredible LOVE. I pray for a constant flow of tangible reminders for us to know that our Daddy is taking care of us, every second of everyday, and that we can rest in that promise.I pray your child like faith and spirits run free.

Refreshed and Awakened,

Erica Ann
