Our busy world forces our child like spirits to wage war with our souls, to step into an unacceptable reality to grow up way to early. When in reality we just need to be kids. We need to take things a little less serious, make life a little more simple, and trust a little more. Maybe we need to dust off our old trucks and doll houses and just play with our Daddy. At what point does that shift within us occur, when we start thinking way to hard, trusting less, and letting the worries of the world get to us? Let's wake up world. Let's all take a deep breath together, climb up to our attics, dust off our toy box, open it up and see what happens. Your Daddy in heaven is continually fighting for your heart to turn to Him, and redeem that precious, innocent, hopeful, pure, child that is within everyone of us .

We live in a go-getter world full of, "when I grow up", a world of darkness and really hard circumstances, a world full of broken families, or no families at all; all of which the enemy uses to rob our minds of the chance to be His children. We put unrealistic pressure on our selves way to early in life, as if we all have to have it all figured out.

Life gives us circumstances and battles that push us to grow up; sometimes, too quickly to rise to the occasion and survive the war at hand. However, God did not bring us into this world, to survive it, He did not give us life to sit through it and suffer; regardless of the life we were dealt. God understands life is hard, he watched His son suffer on the cross and die for our sins, He gets it, and He sees us, and he is with us in the hard times. God does not want His children to suffer,  He gave His children life to bring light to the darkness in our world. There is something within a child's spirit that is so wildly infectious. Sitting in their presence you can't help but laugh, because their innocent joy permeates your soul and you are welcomed into a world that is so simple and pure. A world that is not scary, because they dwell within this world with complete trust that they will be taken care of. Children don't let the worries of the past, present or future overwhelm them, because they are so wrapped up in what is right in front of them. Children create the space to get lost in their dreams with an overflowing hopeful heart and belief that the most outrageous dreams will come true.

Maybe you feel like you had to grow up too fast, or you were forced into a survival mentality due to the unacceptable realities of this broken world, realities that are inconceivable and undoubtedly hard, all of which have the potential of holding the child like sprit within us captive, stuck, suffocating, and desperate to be released. . . But we don't have to be, God wants so much more for us than to just grow up and survive life.

As I continue this journey I have seen far too many of His children who have lost the most precious gift we could have, our spirits. A spirit that is a part of our inheritance, when God breathed His first breath of life into your lungs when you plopped into this crazy world you gained free access to be His child, and live life with a child like spirit.  A sweet sprit that is yours to awaken and welcome back into the way you live your days here on earth. I pray that regardless of the life you are living that you fight to redeem and release that heart of a child that dwells within you. A  spirit that delights in the simplest things that surround your everyday life to bring you joy. A child like spirit, full of wonder, awe, and a contagious hope that there is greater in this world. A  child like spirit that is free to dream the impossible by never settling for what is. A child like spirit that lives in complete trust that the worries of this world are all taken care of, because you have a really good Daddy. So, just for today, no matter what you are doing or where you are in life, dust of your toy trucks, pull out your doll houses, and dream; because you have a really good Daddy that just wants you to be His children, and nothing more.

Enjoying being His little girl again,
