Many of you might not be aware but I have been accepted to serve
with Adventures in Missions on the World Race in 2016!
The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries around the world, and my route will travel to Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. My Squad and I will spend a month in each country serving in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. The World Race is also an intensive discipleship program that will deepen my faith as I learn to truly rely on Him for every thing and prepare me to passionately live out my Kingdom calling.
As I prepare, I am already facing many challenges before those of the World Race. The Lord has already opened me up to deal with unresolved issues with pride and fear. I plan on fully diving into those lessons with you here. My greatest challenges will be raising enough financial support. In order to leave fully funded on January 6, 2016, I need to raise $16,000, which will cover a year’s worth of meals, lodging, air, land, and sea travel, medical insurance, and administrative costs. Although $16,000 is a lot of money, I know this is what God has called me to do. I trust in Him to provide. I myself have restricted many things to do my part in raising this cash flow. As I take this step of faith, if you would consider joining me on this journey through prayer and by supporting me financially it would be truly a blessing to me, my family and I fully believe it will be one for you as well. I started breaking down my walls of pride after reading Philippians 4:11-13 “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” and Philippians 4:17-19 “Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
