It occurred to me on this trip that we often focus so far from ourselves. When the actual answer was a half inch from our face. We see mountains of afar and we often try to capture them immediately. How many steps to the top of a mountain? And what of these steps. Some are over creeks and canyons, snakes and snails. Many of our steps are grandiouso in of themselves. As photographers we like to put grand things into little boxes. I decided to put little things in grand boxes. I began to find that the world from a small focused perspective is all the more bigger. Perhaps God from a small focused perspective is all that much bigger too. Here are some shots from the entitled “small wonders” series.

All are raw original shots, unphotoshopped, cropped or manipulated yet.

Shots were often taken with the flower touching the lenses.

Shots were mostly taken with 4 55 mm Macro lenses’, a softone filter, and often a blue, yellow or combination color filter.

Unfortunetly this is the end of this series, as my carelessness allowed my camera and better part of filters to be stolen. Perhaps a lowly amigo will see my shots and continue my studies. Probably not… I move now into my watercolors which I hope to increase my hand in and be able to capture other beauties of this world. There are just some places that no camera can give justice too.
