For the past 5 years I have been working in the medical field. I started out washing surgical instruments then working as a scrub tech. A year or so later I was hired by one of the surgeons who worked at the same Hospital. After a year of working for him in Durango, CO he decided to move his practice southern California. He and his family were the best! I was far from home and they made me feel like a part of there family. We were blessed enough to go to Guatemala for a couple weeks and serve the locals with medical treatment. Serving Gods people in that way lit a fire inside of me that only seems to get bigger and bigger. After about a year in California I decided to move back home to Durango to further my education. I recieved my EMT liscense and started working for the hospital in Farmington, NM. For the last year I have been stationed as a medic in the county jail which has been by far the most difficult and mentally wearing job I have ever had. I have always felt that God had big plans for me and thankfully those plans were not for me to be working as a medic in a jail. I have recently been somewhat “summoned” by God to pack it up and start serving him to my best abilities. For the past mont or so I have really been praying on what the Lord wants me to do, then it hit me like a punch in the face. I feel God wants me to get out of my comfort zone which is Durango and start his work. Earlier this week I was accepted into “The World Race”. We will be traveling to 11 Countries in 11 months spending one month in each country. A lot of you who will be reading this know my good friend Megan Cherry who just completed this journey and is now already back in the mission field in Guatemala. There are a couple areas in this mission that I’m asking for your help in.
I need your prayers and lots of them. The other thing that I need is help raising money for the trip. This trip will be sending me all over the world to share the gospel and help those in desperate need. You can donate to my trip by clicking on the “support me” link on my page but more importantly please pray for me and my team as we begin our journey.
