Here at “Soul Survivor” they have been talking to the teens about being at the feet of Jesus and what that means. Today we got to show them. When your at the feet of Jesus you are completely humbled, you are presenting yourself to God for what you are. A sinner. Jesus led by example though, He went to the feet of those who fold Him and washed thier feet. He performed an act of service, not out of obligation or out need to try to earn anything, but out of love.
So we took the teens out into the community to perform an act of love. Here at “Soul Survivor” it is broken down into villages. Each village went out to different parts of Fielding, N.Z., Austin, myself and our villagers went and served “afternoon tea” which is lunch to those of you back in the states. lol We went to some homes of some local elderly people. We served them tea or coffee and cake, then we did some yard work for them. It was awesome!!! I had a chance to really get to know one of the girls in my village her name is Eden. Eden and I talked about all kinds of things like t.v., music, books, (f.y.i. she thinks Twighlight is stupid lol) and all different kinds of things.
Eden is a local here in Fielding and this was her First time at “Soul Survivor”. Eden and ended up weeding out this lady’s garden and had just a great time. It was inspiring to me to see someone her age working and serving the she was, literally being the hands and feet of Jesus. As we still have several days left here I would love to get to know these teens more, please be praying for Eden. There was also these gnomes that the teens had to find that were hidden arouond the camp here and each village is suppose to get one. Our village found one then another so then, unbeknownst to me they gave the other gnome away to go to another village. It’s a kind of contest to see which village can get a picture of the gnome with like a cop or like if they help someone cross the street. It is really cool, like I said, AWESOME!!!!!!!!
I have a couple of prayer requests if you all could help that would be great!!! I met this guy Daniel last night who is having a hard time figuring out where to go in life. He told me his situation and my heart went out to him. He is looking for guidence in life and doesn’t know what to do. PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR HIM!!!!!!! My second request is for myself I am around five thousand dollars from being fully supported if you can help that would be great. Please be praying for me that God provide the means for me to continue His work. Lastly I have learned that some of my loved ones back home are under attack please be praying for them as well.
