With training camp one week away I am now more excited than ever before about the journey ahead. Looking at everything that has been happening to me in the past few weeks and seeing God move the way He has in my life just confirms for me His plan for my life!

In light of all the stress of every day life, the worry of if the funding for this journey, struggling with relationships, work and vehicles breaking down I am reminded of two things. The first of a song by Ginny Owens called “If You Want Me To” it says:

 “The pathway is broken and the signs are unclear and I don’t know the reason, why You brought me here, but just because You love me the way that You do, I’m gonna walk through the valley if You want me to;

 Cause I’m not who I was when I toke my first step, and I’m clinging to the promise that Your not through with me yet, so if all of these trials bring me closer to You, then I will go through the fire if You want me to;

 It may not be the way that I would have chosen, when You lead me through a world that’s not my home, but You never said it would be easy, You only said I’d never go alone;

 So when the whole world turns against me and I’m all by myself, and I can’t hear You answer my cries for help I’ll remember the suffering Your love put you through, and I will go through the valley if you want me to.”

The second being the words Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

They remind me of two separate things, that we will go through trials and tribulations but need to keep our focus on where He is leading us through this “valley”. Then, that He has told us to “go and make disciples of ALL nations” so these words in light of these trials are speaking louder than ever before to me.

If all the things happening to me lately are to get me to where He wants me to go (this mission trip) then I will walk through the valley if He wants me to. Praise God!!!

This all before training camp just gets me all the more excited to go and am trusting him fully in everything that has, is, and going to happen. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us all.
