So we returned to Dondo after our miraculous time in Murrumbala, once again met by Joy and Lucas.
“Come, we must go back and pray for Sebastiana.”
Joy urged us.
So Chris Telfer and I went the morning of our long journey home.
The four of us went back to her house and began to pray for her again.
We prayed for about 10 minutes when she began to shake violently, scream, and spit.
This woman began manifesting a demon.
It was as if something inside of her could not handle our prayers, something inside of her was fighting very hard.

The four of us switched immediately from a prayer of healing to a prayer of deliverance, proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ.
When we would rebuke the demon, it would quiet down, allowing us to speak to Sebastiana.
God was telling us specific things to share with this woman, giving us clear pictures in our minds of what was happening.
Through Joy, our translator, we shared with her about this inner struggle, the extreme shame, guilt, and unforgiveness that she carried with her every day.
She wore her shame on her face, believing that she was evil and unwanted.

She refused it at first.
But we told her that she herself was not evil, and that she was loved very much.
She rejected these words several times, wishing for us to only heal her legs.
God showed me a picture of her bound in chains, and that even if she had legs that worked, she would still be in bondage.
She was tormented mightily by the demon inside of her, often going back into her fits of violent shaking, screaming, and spitting.
By the authority of Jesus, we continued to rebuke the demon, allowing ourselves to only speak with Sebastiana.
She finally began to receive the words of the incredible love and magnificent grace Jesus had for her.
We told the demon to be gone, and it left her.
Peace fell upon the woman.
We then shared with her about Jesus, and that He is the Way.
She accepted Jesus as her Savior with much delight.
Hallelujah!

At this point, Chris and I looked at each other, and we both knew we had to continue to pray for her legs (one swollen, one atrophied – see my last blog).
As we prayed, The Holy Spirit moved through Chris and I, touching her as only the Great Physician can.
I saw a picture in my head of this woman and Jesus walking together through a field full of life.
I knew Jesus had healed her.
We told her to get up and try out her new legs.
At first she tried a bit tentatively, afraid of the pain.
But she quickly realized that the pain was nowhere to be found!
We held on to her hands as Sebastiana got up for the first time in who knows how long!
She put all of her weight on her legs and began to take her first steps.
The joy of the Lord overcame her.
She had a smile I will never forget, her mother and father were dancing and shouting praises to the Lord.
She had been healed!
And now her whole family was singing and praising the Lord.
We stayed with the family to sing with them and to thank the Lord for her new life.

As Chris and I walked away to head back to the base, we just looked at each other as if to say, “Did that really just happen?!”
We simply praised the Lord for His miraculous touch for Sebastiana and gave thanks for using us as His vessels.

I love you Lord!
