Its always good to have a plan. But on the world race, its never good to be attached to that plan. Thats one thing we all quickly saw, and have hopefully learned. This week our team was supposed to leave the rest of the group behind and go to a tiny mountain village across the valley called Sacyote (I have no idea how its actually spelled). It is a community of about 200 people who have no electricity, water at only certain times of the day, and everything made of mud. Chad, Ed, and I hiked up there on saturday straight up the mountainside to meet with our contact. Once we got there, after we almost passed out (I think Ed´s lungs are twice as big as mine), we began discussing the upcoming week. All three of us said we felt uncomfortable leaving our ministry in Tumpa to come here. Yes the week would have been uncomfortable due to sleeping in the dirt and no showers and pooping in a hole outside, but that was not the reason behind changing our decision to be there. The ministry in Tumpa has been amazing. People are so hungry for the gospel there (check out The Harvest Video for more), that we feel like it would be best to stay there for the next week. We feel the call to continue to disciple people, and make the transition to established leadership so we can pull out smoothly. It is unfortunate I dont get to pull all the Agapetos girls into the mud huts with me, would have been fun. But we get to continue with the work the Lord has set before us. Here are a few pictures from the past week.

Benjamin and me. I was walking down the street one day, and for some reason I felt the overwhelming sense that I had to go talk to this guy. I struck up a conversation, he told me he was waiting for me to come by his house. He knew that I had something he needed. I shared Christ´s love for him and before I knew it he became my brother in Christ. I went back to his house a few days later to find out his wife, Senovia, also accepted Christ. Its amazing when God works like that!
