The girls and I enjoyed a nice little Saturday at the biggest religious center in the world, Angor Wat. Mr. Brown, our tuk tuk driver, drove us around all day. I was in awe by the grandeur and mystery of the beautiful artistry and dedication that went into constructing such a masterpiece. As you approach the great temple, you can see the giant moat the is shaped in a perfect square all the way around the grounds. The moat is spanned by a bridge that extends several hundred yards, thus entering Angor Wat. Intricate detail, carved into the stone, rivals the perfection of Macchu Picchu. It was easy to get lost in thought overlooking the ancient wonder of the world.

Many of the surrounding temples are more ruins than temples. But their beauty is not lost. I felt like Indiana Jones running around exploring the lost world, hoping to fall in some ancient booby trap, lost treasure looming behind some secret passage. But the treasure I found will remain in my heart… and on my hard drive in the form of photos. Hope you enjoy the ancient world!
