Everyone has a NEXT step, but not everyone is bold enough to take it! You will know when you have taken your last step because God will take the breath from your lungs!
I know my NEXT step but do you?
The general format of the World Race is you travel around country to country connecting and serving at established ministry locations. Before you travel to the next country the team knows who they are meeting up with, where they are going and a general sense of the ministry they will be serving in.
Then there are Unsung Hero months. These months are designed to reach out to small local ministries that are currently happening that the World Race doesn’t know about. This provides sort of a means for the World Race to grow their contacts for future racers to serve and provide connections for the local ministry site. If the World Race isn’t able to help for whatever reason they might be able to get them in contact with an organization that better fits them. Overall this creates a month of relying on God’s faithfulness to provide the right people in the right places for us to meet and share our vision while learning all about them.
Zealous Love is luckily enough to start the World Race off doing an Unsung Hero month! Actually we are the first team in the history of the World Race to do this type of ministry right at the start. Come Sunday I will be arriving in Zambia with no real solid or typical ministry group to be heading too. Our team will gather up, pray fervently, and seek the Holy Spirit for a sign on what to do.
Another World Race challenging question is what do you need to leave in America to grow in Christ? Or what is God calling you out of in order to call you into something GREATER?
This too looks differently for everyone.
For me, I need to leave my pride at the door. The pride of leadership and my confidence that I know the best way to accomplish anything. This doesn’t mean I plan on walking around clueless and oblivious the next 11 months but rather trusting my teammates and the leaders that are in place. It is amazing to be able to go on this trip with the sole focus of growing closer to Jesus, serving my team and loving people unconditionally. Put my pride aside, and walk in true obedience…not just in actions but my thoughts too!
What is your next step? What is God calling you out so He can call you into something greater?
For some it may be just inviting Jesus into your heart for the first time. If so that is AWESOME and I would LOVE to pray for you! Just pray in your heart to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Then go tell someone, go to a church, go to a friend, just anyone and REJOICE!
Others it may be forgiveness of someone who hurt you. Or repenting of a sin and bringing light into a dark area of your life, so that others can pray for you. Maybe you have made some poor financial decisions and need to seek financial counsel. Very well maybe that you need to get help with an addiction or idolatry.
I do know that if you’re not obeying the message the Lord has laid on your heart, He will not give you another! Take the step, it will be hard and easy was never promised.
The point is to take it the cross and surrender to Him. Victory has already been won on the cross and you and me can walk in FREEDOM!
Be Bold in taking action in your next step.
Be Intentional in letting go of something so God can call you into something GREATER!
Tomorrow is officially travel day! The last thing I had to eat here was a chocolate sundae at McDonalds with my team. Our first team bounding trip was to a yogurt place during training camp, so only fitting to get ice cream before we fly out.
