I love DIFFERENCE makers!
They are probably some of my favorite people and I love to hear their story! The people who take a stand for injustices and seek resolution. Who understand the will of God and choose to make an impact in other people. The kind of person who lives out the answer to…..
What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?
During “manistry” (all male team), we had the opportunity to serve at an organization that is founded by one man who choose to live out the answer to that question! The old cliche…do unto one what you wish you could do for millions…..came to a reality when the founder Carl Ralston choose to reach out and rescue Nhu from sex slavery.
“We believe the innocence of childhood is an inalienable right. Once lost, it can never be restored. Our children come to us before they are exposed to the horrors of the sex trade and mature into the happy, healthy young adults they were intended to be.”
Carl Ralston, Founder
That is the heart and passion behind Remember Nhu and the results are amazing! During our time at Remember Nhu we had the privilege to start building a new boys home. Providing more space for them to take in more and more children that are at risk for being sold into slavery. It was such a joy to spend time with these kids each night during dinner knowing that their future was dramatically changed because of this organization.
The exciting thing is the wave of FREEDOM is rising and the culture is starting to change in the communities in which Remember Nhu works with. In general simple explanation how the sex industry works is bars/brothels/etc go to remote villages to buy children and their future is bleak. Remember Nhu works and invests in these communities and rescues children that are about to be sold. Once Remember Nhu takes in a child they meet their needs: physical, educational, emotional, and spiritual. The impact is rising because now communities are starting to see the fruit of having their children educated and are beginning to make pacts to not sell future children…..even if they don’t go to Remember Nhu.
The cycle is breaking! A new generation is being raised up in 9 countries through 35 homes directly effecting the lives of over 700+ children and countless remote villages!
