I am a son of the one true King, I have been saved and set free! I strive to pick up my cross and follow Him daily. To live out the Gospels and be vulnerable to new experiences. I loved the story in Luke 5: 1-11….Simon and the others dropped their "nets" (career), left everything, and followed Jesus! This story has always captured my heart and excited to live it out for 11 months on the World Race and the rest of my life!
I strived for all the earthly desires….education, college, fortune 500 company to work for, climb the corporate ladder so I can give more to the church. What God showed me is there more to life than my desires, and for me that is reaching the least of these around the world through service and sharing the Gospel.
One thing I love particular about the World Race is that for each country we will travel too, God has broken my heart for them at one time or another. To experience what God has been setting my heart on fire for my entire life will come to life in 2014…..I cannot even begin to imagine what God has in-store for me after this act of obedience, fully surrender, and becoming the hands and feet of Jesus.
