One word to describe it would be majestic! The size is incomprehensible and every viewing point is another unique awe-inspiring view. It leaves you longing for more. Just one more unique view. Just one more perspective. It’s so vast that there isn’t just one view to capture it all.
You take the distant “photographic” trial and the longer you walk the better the view. You begin to long for more. If only that tree wasn’t in the way. If only we could go a tad farther. If only I could cross into Zimbabwe and look from there. You just have a desire to get a more comprehensive view. There just has to be another spot to capture it all. To find that sweet spot and be complete in all its wonder.
Or you take the trial down the gorge and touch the raging river that comes off of it. Down in the valley the view is relatively less but draws you to want to see more. To craw, jump and make your way over large rocks just to get a better angle. You can see it down the valley if you are willing to go all the way out to the last rock. Even in the depths of the valley you can sense the ever dominating presence of this majestic masterpiece.
Or you take the trial closest to it and you end up soaked in all its glory. The water that comes off is so great that it created a rain forest! So close that it is hard to capture it because you are so wrapped up in water that comes from it. Here you truly realize the power, the never ending flow that makes it all possible.
What is it? It is a physical creation of God showing His LOVE for us in what is known as Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world!!!
His love is constant. People that are afar from God get a sense of wonder of how great He is through the actions of Christ followers. They wonder how people can walk in freedom and not shame. In the dept of their darkest valleys in their life, their is a never ending sense that their must be more to this life. And there is! His name is Jesus, who came to this earth to bring us to God by paying for our sins on the cross! Jesus overcame the GRAVE and is ALIVE to desire each and everyone of us! Once you submit your life to follow Him is when you will find yourself soaked in His grace, mercy, and love! So overpowering that it is hard to explain other than professing His name! Jesus!
The best part is when you took the trial closest to the falls there is a bridge and you are suspended in the presence of the falls and God’s love. The mist and overflow of all the water is enough to soak you to the bones….imagine if you were to jump in the falls or submit everything! The overflow is more than I can handle and I can only fathom that in the falls has to be a glimpse of the love in heaven.
Also while standing on that bridge there is a constant complete rainbow. The ultimate reminder of the promise God made and you could literally stand in that promise! And it wasn’t just one rainbow you could see at a time but TWO!
Be Bold in your actions that show the love of Christ.
Be Intentional in loving God and people.
