Hello from Cambodia! God is good! This month has been incredible. We are staying in a small village in Kampong Speu, 2 hours out of Phnom Penh and have been partnering with YWAM during our stay here. Our ministry host is a man named Ra, he and his wife have a vision to reach the people of their community by loving and serving them.

We have been doing construction/farm work in the morning, teaching English in the afternoons, soccer ministry in the evenings and building relationships with the locals on a daily basis.

It has been an incredible few weeks living here and seeing God work. I deeply appreciate this lifestyle where things are simple and where a lot of the things that are not important are not present for distraction.

Life this month includes sleeping in tents, eating local food, no internet or wifi, and enjoying the beautiful creation around us. We have been helping Ra with chores and construction projects that he has wanted to get done. We are currently building a place for the future teams to stay for the month.

Team change

We have recently experienced team changes and I am currently on the first all guys team. Being with the other 5 men has been a great blessing and encouragement in my walk with Christ. I am the youngest of them and I am learning a lot from them as we share life together and learn from their life experience. I am growing so much as we work and serve together.

Support Deadline

Thank you so much for being a part of this journey through prayer and finances! God has used your generosity to touch many lives especially mine by witnessing His love and power. My next financial deadline is coming up on October 1st and to be able to continue serving on the Race I need to raise $2500 by then. I need your help by praying that God will bring in this amount to continue this journey around the world to bringing the good news and love of Jesus to the nations. If you would like to be a part of the incredible work that God is doing around the world through finances you can give by clicking “Support Me!” on the left of the screen.

“People from my first home say I’m brave. They tell me I’m strong. They pat me on the back and say, ‘Way to go. Good job.’ But the truth is, I am not really very brave; I am not really very strong; and I am not doing anything spectacular. I am simply doing what God has called me to do as a person who follows Him. He said to feed His sheep and He said to care for ‘the least of these,’ so that’s what I’m doing, with the help of a lot people who make it possible and in the company of those who make my life worth living”  -Katie J.
