We don’t know our limits unless we choose to reach them. Only once we walk out of what we are capable of doing will we find that with the power of the Holy Spirit in us we are able to exceed those limits and accomplish things that we deemed impossible.
If we stick to doing things that we know we can accomplish on our own then we will miss out on a incredible life of surrender, trust and provision as things that are impossible come to pass. Only those that recognize their incapabilities and choose to say yes to God will be used greatly in the Kingdom of God. Those that are too proud to surrender the things they are good at for the things that God is good at will never reach the peak of the potential that God has given them.
The one secret to being used by God is to simply say yes and be available to His calling and walk in obedience to the work He has invited us to partake in. It isn’t God that misses out when we choose to follow our capabilities rather than His leading into the unknown, it is we who miss out because He will simply use someone else that will be obedient.
Saying yes to God’s leading and direction of surrendering comfort, familiarity and our skills is the simplest yet most crucial part of a Spirit filled life, for you do not need to be filled with the Spirit if you are only accomplishing things that you are able to on your own strength.
To say yes to God is to say yes to life and to living to the potential that God has created us to reach. The more you are available to God the more you become free and the less you will measure things on what you can do but rather on what God can do.
