The perfect word that I would use to describe the World Race is CHALLENGING. Sound surprising? Well, of course abandoning every comfort that you could imagine such as hot water, cozy beds, baths, electricity, accessible food, and space is difficult, but the World Race is so much more. It is abandonment of not only our comforts, but our family and friends, along with internet to even connect with them. It’s adjusting to constantly being taken out of your comfort zones, or getting use to never having a daily schedule that we Americans are use to. The World Race is about letting go of control and being reminded of the purpose that God sent us on this earth to do. God sent us here to Go Make Disciples.
In order to fulfill God’s plan, it takes much more than just waking up in the morning. God welcomes us to his family when we accept him in are hearts. He asks for a daily relationship with him. He welcomes us to his family of brothers and sisters that we are all apart of. He not only allows us to be in this world, but he calls us to be set apart.
This race is challenging because not a day goes by that God has not been crafting and molding me daily to be a better woman of God. The Lord has been challenging me in every way possible and although it has been very hard at times, he always brings me back to: James 1:2-4 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” This is the reason I am here. Everyday I look around, and I am reminded of how blessed I am to be able to do the work we were all created for.
I want to say THANK YOU to all of my supporters that have walked aside me through continuous prayers and support on this race. Your support not only works through me, but for God’s kingdom. Every encounter, every soul saved, every person ministered to, is not only because of you, but because of Christ in you!
There is nothing that could ever be more fulfilling then pressing towards the goal that Christ has marked out for us. This is a journey that I don’t want to stop being apart of. In order for me to continue on this journey, please come alongside me in helping me reach my next goal of $11,000 by October 1st. Yep, that’s right, we have less than a month to raise this amount, but through God’s body, miracles can happen. Currently, I am at 8,625 and I need $2,475 to reach $11,000 by Oct 1st.
