I apologize for the complaints made about work not being graded fast enough.
I apologize for the “can we work in partners” and “is this an open note test” questions.
I apologize for all the noises and crude comments made.
I apologize for the times students don’t listen.
I apologize for every time a student skipped your class for food or just because.
I’M SORRY
(I’m also sorry for any incorrect grammar or spelling you have or might see in this blog)
Teaching is not an easy job as you know. I had the opportunity to teach english in Cambodia to pre-schoolers and I am currently a teachers assistant in a 4th grade Guatemalan class. I don’t understand how you can do this for nine months out of a year. I am going crazy.
I never realized how hard it is to be a teacher. I have heard and seen how a class acts, but I thought getting a class to be quiet was not hard. How wrong was I. I don’t know how you come up with different activities to keep everyone engaged, and incorporate everybody’s learning type. I really have no clue how you do it.The comments that have been said in a 4th grade class have caused me to cringe multiple times. The boys in this class catcall… YES CATCAll… multiple of the girls that walk by. Thank you for stopping inappropriate comments and conversations.
But I can also see why you keep teaching. When one of my students gives me a hug or a smile it makes my day. When I see a student grasp a concept they weren’t getting I feel a surge of pride. Despite the challenges, teaching is rewarding in multiple ways. The good out weighs the bad.
As a former student, with barely a year of life out of school under her belt I want to say thank you.
I want to say thank you to the Pre-School and Kindergarten Teachers for putting up with all the messes and tantrums
I want to say thank you to the Elementary School teachers for putting up with drama on the playground and friend disputes.
I want to say thank you to the Middle School Teachers for putting up with all of the drama and the awkward stages of life.
I want to say thank you to the High School Teachers for putting up with the students fighting against you and dealing with your students who skip school to get lunch.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
Thank you for pushing us.
Thank you for not giving up.
Thank you for dealing with the noise, complaints, and rude remarks.
