On the World Race the lifestyle is like the phrase “hurry up and wait”. So this phrase has been a theme for the every country that I have traveled to. We are often told a certain time to be ready and often times our host or the organization isn’t even ready by that time. So we are often left waiting after we have hurried to be ready and look somewhat presentable. This week Grace and I had planned to do a workout called BBG (bikini body guide) together. The night before we are supposed to workout she told me she was planning on going to run at 8 and we would work out at 9. Funny thing is we didn’t start the workout until 10:40 am. I usually wake up fairly early and am ready to start my day around 7 am. This is a prime example of what “hurry up and wait” looks like. Therefore, I made a list of things that I was able to accomplish while I was waiting for Grace to be ready for BBG. Love you lots Grace, thanks for allowing me to write a blog about you and helping me to be more productive in patience :).
Things I did while waiting for Grace:
made breakfast
made tea/drank said tea
had quiet time
bought eggs
bought apples
day dreamt about life after the race
listened to a podcast
handwashed my chacos
cleaned the kitchen
swept the whole house
mopped the whole house
made dinner at 10:30 am
napped
thought about doing bbg but remember I have to wait for her to go run
Thank you all for continuing to read my blogs, supporting me, and praying for me! I will reach American soil in 19 days! More blogs to come 🙂
