This month we are in Nepal, and it’s all squad month!
Our first week in Nepal we had debrief in Kathmandu and we worshiped and got to spend time with our whole squad. We had the opportunity to share stories from India and feel like a tourist for a few days. The Lord did so much while we were in India and I am so expectant of what incredible things He will do in Nepal.
This country is so beautiful, but it is so dusty and polluted.
Dust
noun
In Kathmandu, dust covers absolutely everything, and the shop owners are constantly sweeping their shops and getting the dust off of their products. However, the dust doesn’t seem to phase the people of Nepal. Dust doesn’t phase Jesus. People wear face masks because of how dusty and polluted it is here.
On the way into town yesterday I saw a sign that said “Man can make the deserts bloom” and I immediately thought about how the Lord created man from dust.

What is special about dust is that it is what God created us from.
We were created from “tiny particles of earth or waste matter…” Does that sound beautiful to you?
In Isaiah 35:1 it says, “The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.” The Lord created plants and flowers that are able to live in the dust of the desert.
The Lord makes beautiful things out of dust.
I am reminded of this: no matter how dirty you feel or how dusty you’ve become because of your sins Jesus still loves you.
Dust doesn’t scare Jesus.
Thank you Jesus, for loving us even when we are covered in dust and dirt.

This is the on the way to the highest point in Kathmandu.
Please pray for my squad this month as we are all together and several of my squadmates are sick.
