I’m 22 years old. I’m from Marietta Georgia. I went to Young Harris College and graduated this past May. I now work at a mental hospital called the Ridgeview Institute. I work with kids from the age of 11-17 years old. These kids are struggling with suicidal thoughts/attempts, self-harm, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. I get to spend time with the patients hearing their stories, leading coping skills groups, and assessing how they are feeling. However, life has started to become so routine and a while ago I felt the Lord calling me somewhere where I am needed. I feel that call was the World Race.
I learned about the World Race when I was too young to participate, but it has always been something that I have wanted to do. I’m so excited to have the privilege and opportunity to go on this journey to spread the Lords love and grace around the world.
