Hey guys! I just wanted to pop in and share something SO encouraging and eye opening that I read in 1 Corinthians this morning.

1 Corinthians 6 says “Don’t you know that a little leaven leavens the whole batch of dough?”

Ok- so first of all, I am so glad my Bible helped me out with this one because I honestly didn’t know what the word leaven even meant- it’s apparently yeast so there’s that!

But that’s not even the key part of this verse in my opinion. This verse is a BIG reminder that even one of us Christians not representing the Lord well can ruin other Christians witness, and even people’s opinions of God Himself!

That is a huge position to hold. the Bible also says that we are managers of the mysteries of God, and we should be faithful! I see this to be so evident in my life at school. As crazy as this sounds you and I represent Jesus for some people. We are the only glimpse of His love they may ever see. We demonstrate what it means to be a Christian, our character constantly being held up to what we say we believe.

So don’t take that lightly. Represent our King well. Show people the God you follow and why you follow Him. Be the accepting and loving Christian rather than the judgmental and boastful one (because ultimately our goal should be to share Jesus not to be right/feel greater than others!) What a beautiful God we serve. Shout it out and show your heart.

REPRESENT!
