Hey everyone!!!! Cannot wait to fill you in on what God has been teaching me through raising $16,600. Enjoy!!!!

Each month, we get a call from our World Race advisor. She checks in on our journey, takes prayer requests, and guides us through the process of preparing for the race.

Last January, Carly called and then at the end of our talk she asked how she could be praying for me. I told her fundraising, and had no hesitation in my answer. That month of January was hard. I raised $350. Yikes.

Mathematically speaking, I have to raise around $2,000 a month in order to be fully funded before I leave. Granted, Adventures in Missions is ever so grateful in regards to deadlines- we don’t have to be fully funded until January of 2020. BUT I feel as if it would hinder what the Lord has in store for me if I were to go on the trip not fully funded. Every prayer would be about raising the money to stay on the race. Every day that I didn’t get a donation would be a bigger chance that I will have to be sent home. I want to go serve in South Africa, Cambodia, and Ecuador with reckless abandon! Praising the God who brought me there.

So as January ended, so did my season of no donations. The Lord took what I was struggling with and showed me that it is in His hands. This month, I have done exponentially better, and I have confidence that it is because I took action and placed my trust in what I have been called to. I launched my tshirt sales, started an adopt-a-box fundraiser, and got uncomfortable.

Yes, you read that right! Got EXTREMELY uncomfortable, actually. Let me be honest, I really really do not like asking people for things- especially money. But I know that if I don’t ask for help, I can never get it. So I started asking!

I got over the fear of people thinking I am annoying or desperate. I am neither- I AM giving people a chance to further the kingdom of the Lord. (I never even thought about it this way until we were talking about fundraising in our route 5 group chat- shoutout to you ladies!!)

AANNNNNDDD GUESS WHAT YALL?

I have some super cool fundraising activities coming up if you want to support me!!!!!

1.) I am selling t-shirts again, they were very successful last go around and I really think that’s an awesome way to get the word out about my trip! If you want the link it will be in my twitter bio (emmaarrobertson) or can be sent via email! ([email protected]) The reason it will not be included in this post is because the link will change with each campaign.

2.) Yard. Sale. Oh man, am I looking forward to this. Set aside some time on March 23rd to come by and shop. Many people in the community have so graciously donated to this sale, and I would love to see their/my things sold. If you are interested in donating- please contact me through the email included above or by commenting on this post! 8am-3pm at Mulch and More. The exact address is: 2226 Highway 34 E Newnan, GA 30265.

3.) On April 28th, I am having a spirit night at Partner’s ll Pizza in Summergrove!!! I cannot even tell you how excited I am for this. 10% of the proceeds go towards the trip if you mention my name when ordering. This includes takeout and delivery!! The exact address is: 48 Market Square Road Newnan, GA 30265. Their phone number 770-253-9221 SO COME ON OUT OR CALL THEM UP!! Enjoy time with your family and a nice dinner. I would love to meet you.

4.) As of right now, my adopt-a-box fundraiser is still going on, and I would really like to finish it. I have over half of the boxes to fill! Check out details on my mom’s facebook, her name is Mona Robertson

5.) Another cool thing I would love to start is a hashtag! When you get your shirt, visit spirit night, donate, or buy something from the yard sale, post a photo with the hashtag #sendemmaontheworldrace and also include the link to my blog or tag my fundraising page on Instagram! @emmasworldracefundraising

5.) Lastly, I just wanted to say that MAN all donations are so appreciated. I’ve been learning so much about selflessness through the unexpected donations received. I genuinely cannot thank the people who have given up a part of their earnings to help me fulfill this calling. The pastor at my church always says “Show me where your time and money are, and I’ll show you where your heart is.” So thank you to everyone who has shown me that they value and believe in what I am doing. Seriously means more than I could ever say. I am so grateful for everything.
