Big things are happening with the race!! I’ve had this news for a while, but I haven’t really told everyone until now, because I am t e r r i b l e at blogging.
However, in September, rather than immediately leaving overseas, I’ll be living with my squad in Gainesville, Georgia!! We’ll be there on the Adventures in Missions campus for a little over three months, and focusing on discipleship training, and overall getting ready for what we will be doing on the mission field!
Don’t worry though, we’re still going overseas in January! While the question of which countries we’re going to is unsure right now because of covid, I’m trusting that God will put our squad in the right place.
This is the first time AIM has done a 3 month discipleship training program, so we are very privileged as a squad! We will be learning and growing together and we will be fully prepared to properly minister to those on the mission field! Also a bonus, if we choose to do so, after our three months in Georgia we can come home for the holidays!
Hearing this news for the first time, initially I was disappointed, because I wanted to spend as much time overseas as possible. But after a lot of prayer and talking with my squad, this is a blessing and an opportunity! God wouldn’t take us out of something good without leading us into something better.
Thank you to everyone that has supported me this far! I still have more fundraising to do, so look out for that soon! This is all getting so realllll. We leave at the end of NEXT MONTH!! I’ll try to get better at blogging, and please keep me in your prayers as I ask God to provide for me financially and spiritually as this journey gets closer and closer!
