Last Friday, my squad and I did evangelism in the Gainesville square. I was in a group with Brook and Emily. We started our time with prayer with each other and just had time of trusting God, leaning on His voice, and going literally wherever he told us to go. Brook got the image of a man in all black that we would evangelize to.

After some walking and more praying, Brook heard God say He wanted us to wait on a bench. We sat down and continued to pray and make sure it was where God needed us. We all felt confirmation that we were where we needed to be.

30 minutes went by. Now that might sound like such short amount of time but when you’re just sitting on a park bench ready to be bold and tell someone about the goodness of God it feels like a really long time. We got to sit and just wait on Gods timing and rely on the fact that he knows better than us.

THEN AFTER 30 MINUTES OF WAITING a man in all black comes by. A man who needed hope. A man we got to pray over. A man that God knew would be worth our time of waiting. A man who has been cared for by God that I pray will have eyes opened to His goodness.

Whether patience means 30 minutes or 3 years, God knows what he’s doing. I wanted to encourage you to lean on God and know that whatever he calls you to is good even if it doesn’t make sense to you when that may require some waiting for His timing.

What’s some biblical truth to go along with waiting and patience?

  • Moses waited on God on the mountain in Exodus 24:12,
  • Job waited for Gods answers in the book of Job as he experienced loss,
  • Isaiah waited for God to work in Israel,

and many more biblical people beautifully displayed this fruit of the spirit as they trusted God.

Also a fundraising update is I have a deadline of $12,000 on November 15 and I would appreciate any prayers or financial support you feel lead to give! Thank you so much for the support I have received so far!
