I’ve been living in Gainesville, GA for about a week now and my heart is so full!! I have met so many amazing people that truly have a heart for the Lord and service and I can’t wait to get to know them more!
The Lord has been teaching me so many new things while I have been here. It’s been amazing to learn more about Him with a community of believers that just want more of Him as well.
Through my time here I have been learning about the importance of pushing myself and growth. A few days ago we had a 2.2 mile hike to complete with our 40 pound packs in 38 minutes. It would be a lie to say that I didn’t struggle with this, but God showed up and gave me strength and my cohort showed up and gave me so much encouragement that made my heart so joyful! I have also adjusted my expectations through bucket showers (actually so nice after being in the heat) and porta potties.
I may have been very surprised that this year didn’t turn out how I imagined a year ago but God wasn’t surprised at all and He has all the little moments that I worry about under His control as well.
I am so thankful for all the support I have received so far! I feel so blessed to have a supportive community back in Woodstock, GA! Please pray for my team and I as we grow closer to each other and Christ and keep my fundraising in your prayers because I have a $10,000 deadline on October 15.
