My squad and I have been back in Gainesville, GA for a week now! We came on January 3 for launch and expected to leave for Guatemala on January 7. We had our bags packed and when we were ready to leave the night of the 6. Then, we got news that someone on our squad tested positive for covid so my squad has been in quarantine since then.

I have a more in-depth blog coming really soon about what this extra time has been like and what the Lord has been teaching me, but for now I wanted to do a fun blog and show you what life looks like for me right now through some pictures! Also super fun fact: I am a World Race Photography Intern so there will be more photo blogs coming soon.

We said a final goodbye to our team leaders! It has been absolutely bitter-sweet not having them here on campus with us, but it also has been a season of seeing new people on the squad step up into some important leadership roles!

We got CHICK-FIL-A!! We had a fundraising contest and GAP C WON!! Chick-fil-a was the reward! (THANK YOU Paige Canova)

We celebrated Christmas in January as a squad with secret santa!

All in all this extra time has been filled with sweet community, bonding with each other, and growing in our faith before we start life on the international mission field in Guatemala!

This is what our bedroom looks like right now!

Thanks for following along on my world race journey!

I still have $3274 left to fundraise before I am fully funded and would appreciate any support you are lead to give!
