hey! for those who don’t know me my name is em! I’m 21 & I live in Australia! (no, I don’t have kangaroos living in my backyard, but I used to!)
I just graduated my degree in commercial interior design & architecture, & am also currently a full time bible college student! when I’m not studying, I work at an outdoor adventure store & youth lead the best group of world changers. I am also obsessed with nature, elephants, my dog, art, photography, & Africa (for real though, many people think I’ll move to Africa one day…God only knows, hey?!)
as an eleven year-old graduating grade six I was asked to paint what I wanted to be when I grew up. I painted the world, & wrote the words around it “to see people, to see cultures, to see & witness history.” little did I know that a year later God had put the nation of Africa on my heart, & by the time I was fourteen I knew that I wanted to do some sort of missions-based thing in my future. since then the passion to pursue overseas missions has only grew in my heart, with Jesus aligning my steps.
so…here I am seven years later, with the Holy Spirit leading me to the world race: an 11 month missions trip, to 11 different countries. after months of prayer, as of January 2020 I will have the opportunity to serve people in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, India, South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, & Zambia.
I will be spending one month in each of the above countries, with ministry looking different most months. five of my months will be spent living within the 10/40 window; a portion of the world where the majority of the world’s unevangelized countries are. I will have the opportunity to teach English, minister to & empower women caught in trafficking, partake in church planting, preaching, street & slum evangelism, pray for the sick in hospitals, work at orphanages, run youth camps, & more. no matter what the physical ministry might look like from month to month, there is one common goal: to bring & be the love of the Father; to be a vessel, an outpouring of the Father’s relentless love to all who myself & my team will encounter. I mean, that’s our goal every day, right?!
so, why am I actually doing this? good question! aside from the obvious answer that God is calling me to this & I want to be obedient to His call, there are a few other reasons why I am doing the Race:
1. I don’t want to settle for the mundane when I know God has & is calling me to more. I could apply for full-time jobs right now & be secure for work next year if I wanted to, but God isn’t calling me to that; He is calling me to ministry & missions, & I want to give my life in full surrender to his Kingdom call.
2. the Bible says to go into all the nations & tell the greatest Love story known to man.
3. to be stretched & grow deeper in my relationship with the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
4. I will be doing a vast range of ministry work, not only allowing me to exercise my current giftings & annointings, but also experience & develop other areas of ministry too.
support is greatly appreciated, & I would love if you would consider partnering with me & the Holy Spirit, praying into the kingdom adventure I will be embarking on. ways to support me include:
1. prayer: having brothers & sisters partner with me in prayer is the greatest support & weapon for me!
2. financial support: I need to fundraise US$19,000. a friend of mine recently spoke about ‘doing hard things’, & one of the things he spoke about is the fact that stepping out of your comfort zone & doing hard things means that you feel challenged stepping into something that is ‘too big to accomplish alone.’ well, this is true: I cannot do the Race without the financial support of others & the financial provisions of Yahweh.
3. subscribe to my blog: this is where I’ll be posting regular updates throughout next year!
I am keen as a bean to be the hands, feet, & heart of Jesus throughout the countries I have the opportunity to minister in; to see where Jesus will lead me & those I will be travelling with; who we will meet & encounter, & how the Lord will use us as we step out in obedience to what the Holy Spirit is calling us to do.
any questions, ask away & get in contact with me! stay tuned for the adventures, testimonies, photos, & story-telling to come!

isaiah 61 v 1-3:
“the Spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives & release from darkness for the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor & the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, & provide for those who grieve in Zion. to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, & a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. they will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, for the display of his splendour.”
