Here’s a short rundown of what my time in Malaysia looks like! We’ve been here for about two weeks and we’ll be here for another two!

My team of 7 and another team of 7 are living together in a city called Sungai Petani. We are working with a local church and pastor here, serving and helping support in any ways we can.

We have had the opportunity to help at a government-run school for children with special needs. The mornings there are spent laughing, making friends, singing songs, and doing activities. In the mornings we also spend a few hours in times of intercession for this country, each other, and our ministry. Love getting to see these people grow in understanding and walking in the power of prayer! Later in the day, the teams will go visit the homes of different members of the church. We get to pray over their homes and any needs they have, and encourage them with our stories and the word of God, while also getting to know them and hear about their lives. House visits are such a sweet opportunity to develop relationships with some of the incredible people here, and I’ve been so encouraged to hear the stories and faith of these men and women. Some evenings we also have the chance to preach at the church. It’s been beautiful to get to see some of the women from my team share what the Lord has done. Literally feel like such a proud mom all the time!

On the leadership side of things, I am currently praying a lot about when I leave, and what it looks like to set my team up for success after that. My time with them has been amazing and incredibly impactful, and I cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to use them. They are truly some of the wisest, most caring, considerate, passionate, and humble women I’ve ever known. Trying to soak up every last minute with them, and pour out every last bit that I can in these last weeks. God has truly used this season of leadership and these women to solidify so many pieces of His character for me, and also to grow and affirm so many things about who I am. Such a gift!

Malaysia is an incredible place! This season is a lot slower than the first two months of the race which is such a good change of pace. We’re living in a home which is a blessing, and it truly feels like we’re getting to experience the culture and real lives of the Malaysian people here.

Pray for our ministry here and for the church, we work with! Pray for favor and fruit within the community and a new passion to see others come to know Him. Pray for the faithfulness and persistent love of the body of Christ here to continue growing. Pray for more hands to help with the harvest. Pray for the teams here, that they are able to continue growing in unity and honor for each other, and that He would bless this month. Pray for the teams and the alumni team leaders as they head home in the next weeks. Pray for our goodbyes to Malaysia and each other, and for the squad as they head to India soon!
