So. I went to Swaziland. Just to let you all know that happened. We (the entire squad) spent February 8-12 in Nsoko, Swaziland at an AIM base. It was a sweet, unexpected time for our entire squad to get together and share with each other what the Lord was teaching us and have some fun together. Our squad leaders really encouraged us to seek out why God had us in Swaziland. I had been told they hadn’t had rain in a very long time and many farmers were struggling to grow their crops. So we prayed for rain. And the last day we were there, boy did it rain. The heavens opened up and down came maybe all the water in the sky. So, sometimes you go to Swaziland simply to pray for rain. But that is okay. And sometimes you get to rest and be poured into and recharged by your teammates and that is okay too. Swaziland was truly a gift. Unexpected and undeserved but amazing.

We have about three weeks left here in South Africa before we move on to the Philippines! Time is flying by but I am so grateful for each day here. Ministry hasn’t been easy. We go door to door everyday and share the Gospel with the people of this community. But it has been a huge learning experience for me. I’ve been learning that ministry does not always have to be something I am hugely passionate about. I’ve been learning what it looks like to dig deep and find the Lord’s passion for ministry. It does not have to come from me. I simply have to take the steps He calls me to take.

Pray for our team as we finish our time here. That we would be intentional and present here. All in for the Kingdom. Lots of love from South Africa!!!
