Oh Yesterday was our last day at Pan de Vida, and my heart was not ready to say goodbye. I grew so much here. The Lord showed me His goodness here. Random strangers became people I looked forward to seeing everyday. I walked in not knowing what to expect, and the Lord absolutely blew my mind. Imagining my life without Pan de Vida now, makes my heart hurt. My encouraging leader told me “if it makes you sad to leave, that means you loved people well while you were there”. Now I completely understand what she meant by that. I pray the Lord lets me come back sooner rather than later. The staff at Pan de Vida organize so many volunteers that it is easy to lose people in the crowd, but they always are intentional and love us individually. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be here. There is no doubt in my mind that the Lord brought me here for a specific reason. My heart will never be the same.
