Right now we are in Antigua, Guatemala at all squad debrief. This means all 25 V Squad members are living in the same house for a few days. We are using this time to reconnect with each other, to share our month one stories, to reconnect with Christ and our leadership team and to provide rest. Each day we break bread together and have devotion time, we have time to explore public transportation as we get to the city center. We connect with other teams and we laugh.

Having lived with 5 other people for the last month and all of a sudden living with 25 has my mind spinning with activity. I have realized my team and I had become very set in our routine and we loved our morning quiet time. Well as you can imagine quiet time with 24 other people is not the same! All the same I have had a great time talking with the people I don’t get to see very often.

Today for squad adventure day we hiked a volcano! Well I rode a horse up then I hiked down. I got to pet the volcano dogs, and we roasted marshmallows over a hole with hot steam coming out. Today was a great day full of adventure and community.

Prior to Central America I had never seen a volcano. Now I can proudly say I have hiked 2 in the last month!

Pacaya Volcano!
