Hey everyone!!!
My name is Emma Breeze and I am currently a sophomore at Auburn University. I am majoring in exercise science, and I hope to either become a nurse or physical therapist one day (something I definitely need to figure out :).
I am (currently) from Niceville, Florida, which is just a three mile bridge drive from Destin’s white beaches! I say “currently” because this is where I went to high school, and where my parents are currently living while I am away at school. Growing up, I moved around a lot as my dad was a pilot in the Air Force for 27 years. Being a military kid has its blessings, but it was definitely hard and confusing at times since I moved around so much. Now that I’m older, I really appreciate all the different places I got to live because it has helped me step out of my comfort zone with future endeavors (like this one)!!! I am also extremely close with both of my parents. My mom is a nurse and my dad is currently a pilot for Delta. My mom was the one who recommended this trip to me, so I owe this all to her! My dad is someone I look up every day, as he is one of the best people I know. He’s definitely a hero in my book. I would not be able to embark on this trip without their unwavering support and enthusiasm.
I heard about the World Race through friends who had gone on some of the trips, but I would have never guessed that I would be lucky enough actually go on one. Choosing to go to Thailand was an easy decision for me. I feel extremely called to go on a mission trip this summer and build relationships. Although I was nervous about the length of the trip, I truly believe that God is calling me to do this! I am so so ready to spread God’s word and maybe change a couple lives while I am out there!.
