A tugging on your heart, you hear or see it all around you, the door is wide open, these are things you cannot ignore.  How can you know you have heard God right?

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.  And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere–in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” -Acts 1:8 (NLT)

It can always come back to his word.  The Holy Spirit in me tells me to go, so I go.

My (amazing, spectacular, you don’t even know) mentor once asked a friend and me this seemingly simple question… “If you knew Christ was coming back in 2 years, what would you do?”  My immediate answer was that I would GO!  I wouldn’t know where but I would go.  My friend responded differently, she said she would stay.  Now not one of us or the other has the correct answer but the Holy Spirit provided the right answer for us as individuals.

After us having given our answers she then asked, “Then why do we not feel this urgency now?”  I proceed to talk about me wanting to go on The World Race and how I was waiting to hear back after my first interview.  I cannot lie, while I was talking about it one of The World Race staff called me for a follow up interview to clarify some information.  We were all blown away, I had not been too sure as to whether God was going to open or shut the door yet, but this was him speaking to me for sure.  About two hours later I received my acceptance call, I was at work and no one was left in the offices except my mentor.  She almost cried when I told her!  This only reminds me I am on the right path.

God does speak, we only need to be quiet and listen.
